Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture
Introduction
The Chinese have used acupuncture for 3,000 years to treat disease and injury. Patients and treated holistically and as individuals via the use of in-depth history taking tongue and pulse diagnosis.
Treatments consist of the use of fine sterile needles, acupressure (no needles) or Tui-Na (Chinese Medical Massage) at specific acu-points on the body’s many meridian channels, which run up and down the body; providing the routes for the body’s energy.
Many symptoms and complaints can be helped with acupuncture including:
